An ENT Physician Dedicated to Compassionate, Community-Focused Care
Dr. Jason Trahan has always believed caring for others begins with connection. Born and raised in Opelousas, he returned home after medical training to serve the community that shaped him.
An Opelousas Catholic alumnus, Dr. Trahan earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from ULL and began his medical career as a Registered Nurse in the ICU at Opelousas General Health System. His early years at the bedside taught him the importance of empathy, listening, and trust – values that continue to guide his work today.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he also completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

As a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist, Dr. Trahan combines the latest surgical and minimally invasive techniques with advanced medical treatments to deliver the best outcomes for each patient.
He provides comprehensive ENT, Allergy, and Audiology services for both pediatric and adult patients, including Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), rhinoplasty, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, balloon sinuplasty, and treatment for sleep apnea and allergy concerns.
Whether helping a child breathe easier, treating chronic sinus conditions, or guiding patients through hearing restoration, Dr. Trahan’s goal is the same: to offer expert, compassionate care that feels personal and precise.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of caring for his patients, Dr. Trahan enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their five children: Mary Katherine, John Parker, Jackson, Ellis, and Celia Mae. You’ll often find him at the ballpark rooting on his kids, or outdoors enjoying a morning of hunting or fishing.
Family and community remain at the center of his life. The same foundation that drives his commitment to patient care.
